Today, monday, Dension just announced its new Ice Link Plus. It looks awesome... displays song titles on HU, looks really slick to say the least. GO CHECK IT OUT!

With a bit of luck I should be putting one of these into my Alfa 147 at the weekend. The very nice people at Ihavetohave.it automatically converted my order of the original Ice>Link a week or two ago to the Plus model (which is ??30 less than the pre-plus model!). I don't think the song title bit will work (not a very sophisticated Blaupunkt head unit in the car) but I'm hoping that many of the other features will work.
I'll let people know what its like.

Cool.... let us know how it goes when you get it. I wanna ge one of them for my new ipod mini and my VW Beetle. Very curious as to how the song text wil work on the display. Gut feeling is not good. But all the other features seem well worth it and a must have gadget!
I just checked out ihavetohave.it and cant see the ice>link Plus listed on there?? How did you order it from those guys?

That's right, Ihavetohave.it haven't updated their website yet. I ordered the old one, got back an auto-reply saying it would be a few days becasue it was backordered and then a realperson (tm) :-) e-mailed to say that they were waiting for the new Plus version which was announced the day after I ordered the old one. Stroke of luck really. Hopefully it will ship this week before the weekend (when I've already booked a slot at my favorite ICE fitting shop).
I'm sure if you e-mail them you can order a new one just by ordering the old one and having them conver the order. The new is even ??30 less selling for ??99.

What email address did you use to contact them on? Tried one but not getting much in the ways of a reply..... Howeve this site seem to be selling the kit and quoting the same price range....

All in all it looks good... Gonna try and fit it myself when I get it so thats gonna be fun... more like funny with my lack of skills. However I'm never usually happy letting other people do the job cos I'm too picky and who wants to pay some one and then pick at it. I've got big ideas with a small brain, but thats how I live and learn!

Looks good. Gonna hold off and see how it stacks up against Monster's "iCruze"

8 days 3 hours 31 minutes and 47 seconds as I write this.
Does look good, but esentially the same as the Dension Ice>Link:Plus... I like the fact it looks slick and has the option for external screen.....
But for me its the Dension system that takes the cake. All the bits will e tucked away in the car so looking slick doesn't matter. The Dual mode operation looks nice.... why have an optional extra scree when you have the ipod screen? Plus with the Monster system I don't see no cradle advertised.

Unfortunately my ice>link is not around in time for instal this weekend (I think they're waiting for the correct connector for my car). I'll post next weekend if it goes in then.

Good luck with it all...... I'm set on getting it too, but just got to find the place to get it from. Idealy I'd like to get it with the connector that comes from the cd chander connection in the boot. However, most places seem to sell only the onnectors that come from the head unit. Not that big a deal, but would be nice to have the quick option to swap over the connections, and also makes it easier for me to get the wires up to the centre console in my beetle. We'll see if I can find some place.
Any one know if you can buy the connectors separate to the kit??
Got mine yesterday, hooked it up, but only temporarily. Maybe I'll make a install guide.
Got a small irritating problem. Sometimes it just says no cd-changer and won't recognise the icelink. Has to pull the power to the stereo or icelink to make it work again. This especially happens if I leave the car for a couple of minutes.

What stereo is it hooked up to? Have ou checked the connections to make sure they aren't loose?? This might correct itself when the install is done for real.
Kenwood, all cables done OK.
Wouldn't bother me if it was easy to fix, but to remove the fuse to the radio every time is not good.
I'll do the install this weekend, then try to describe my problem to support if it continues..
The problem persists.. Has to pull the power to the icelink every third time I get to the car.. :(
Even flashed the icelink to 2.02.. Did not help.
I guess I have to contact support..
Made myself a mount now. (already got a cellphone-mount, had to make a larger one that took both cell and ipod :)
