I got a new 3G 15 GB iPOd and I read the thread about "in-car solutions". I am leaning toward an iTRip, but was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular iPOd model.

:: Belkin Tunecast II w/ 4g 20gb iPod ::

I just bought the Belkin FM Transmitter from Best Buy and used it in the car for a good 2 hours. The Belkin comes with a power adapter that plugs into the car power, the battery life on my iPod was pretty good, didn't drain it or anything like that.

Just wanted to let you guys know that the Belkin one did work fine and I didnt have battery problems.

Note about FM transmitters:
I do notice that the sound quality is not great at all. The music sounds more Mono than Stereo and is just not the same for any FM transmitter.

iTrip works just fine for me, the sound quality is just fine. A couple of points though,

1. battery goes down a little faster than normal, I guess that's the case with all these sorts of adapters though. They all need extra juice from the ipod battery to transmit the radio signal.

2. if you're in an area that has loads of radio stations or lots of pirate radio, my car sometimes jumps to that signal if it's a strong one. But if you know of a frequency that nothing else uses then that doesn't matter.
