something perplexing - wanting to iPod my wifes car for X-mass... her car is a 2002 BMW Z3 with the Harman Kardon stereo upgrade. The car is "pre wired" for a CD changer (don't have) and have spoken to the people at Neo and they are working on an adapter but have hit bumps in trying to connect with the Harman Kardon system.
Can't I connect whatever (Neo, Aux-Box or IceLink) directly to the back of the factory head unit? The head unit is the normal "BMW Business CD", the rest of the system is Harman Kardon (speakers, amp). Have looked at the plug in the HK unit and it's easy to see why it's chalenging them.

Why does this have to be such a struggle???

I think BlitzSafe (http://www.blitzsafe.com/blitz_appguide/Blitzsafe_Application_Guide.pdf) has something for your wife's car as well as DensionUSA (http://densionusa.com/merchant/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=DU&Product_Code=I20_BMW&Category_Code=IA_BMW).
