Hi there,

I am looking for a good case ("soft", no skin) for my iPod photo, and the one which seems to be most suitable is the Marware Sportsuit Convertible.

A question for existing owners of this case: The Marware homepage lists it as compatible with all 4G iPods and the iPod photo. Since the photo is a bit thicker than the other 4G iPods, I was wondering how good the Convertible will fit, especially with regard to the docking port. (I have checked a friend's WaterField iPod case which he has bought for his 4G 40G iPod, and the fit was very tight and the docking port was slightly obscured due to the different thickness).

Thanks for any comments
Cheers
Bernd

I'm pretty sure that it will work. The nice thing about neoprene is that it stretches unlike nylon or leather. so I believe the photo fits in it with no problem considering that it's only like 1.5mm thicker.

I'm thinking about getting the Sportsuit Convertible for an iPod Photo as well and have heard about the scratch issue. Since we're talking about the tight fit, do you think that I could fit the iPod Photo with a PodSleevz into the Sportsuit? That would eliminate the scratch issue.

I now have both a PodSleevz and a Sportsuit, and both together don't fit :(

The Sportsuit is really, really tight, almost to the point where I don't use it because it's just too much trouble to get the iPod out again. I have one or two slight scratches on the back of the iPod which I think come from taking it out.
Also, even though the Sportsuit Convertible does stretch, the fit of the Clickwheel-hole is not perfect, due to how the neoprene has to be stretched to accomodate the iPod photo.

Nowadays, I almost exclusively use my PodSleevz, this gives great scratch-protection, but alas no fall-protection.

Hope this helps
Bernd

Thanks, Bernd.

Anyone have a suggestion for good scratch AND impact protection as well as being good for a workout (ie. armband)?

Bernd,

You brought up my problem exactly with your PodSleevz / Marware problem. I just bought a PodSleevz for my 60 gb and now can't use my Sportsuit Convertible. Have you found a solution for wearing your iPod on your arm at the gym inside its PodSleevz. Thank you.
