I typed my order id into the usps.com's track & confirm section, but it says "Tracking service has not been purchased for this item."
What exactly does this mean?

Lajo ships from Hong Kong using either Hong Kong Post, DHL, Fedex or UPS... not USPS.

Also, if you placed a small order you don't get a tracking number. Items of 9 or less are not tracked.
