ipod software update version 3.0.2

Hi,
I just plugged in my ipod (40GB G4 iPOD, winXP) and got a message stating there is a new version of the ipod software (v 3.0.2).
What's new? Anyone updated to this?
My iPOD is working fine as it is and as they say if it aint fixed don't break it :) so I thought I'd ask here about the new version before updating. Is it worth it?

I installed the update on my 4G click wheel 20 gig - now the equalizer will not work at all. I can not set any 'sound' at all...

anyone else?
anyone have a guess or answer?

My update was kind of weird but it worked out well. I don't seem to have the eq issue on mine. I wish our update had a nice list of update goodies like the mini did.

I think our iPod already does all that...

i just updated my day old ipod with 3.0.2 because it popped up in iTunes and now my ipod has the exclamation folder of death. fan-friggin-tastic...what should i do?

Me too. Man, this sucks. At first I was getting a picture that looked like I needed to recharge it with the ac battery charger . I tried resetting it and now I've got this freakin' exclamation mark. I've got it plugged into my computer. But my cable won't charge it.

OK, I went home and got my battery charger. Plugging it into the iPod seemed to be part of the installation process. Charge wasn't an issue. The apple logo appeared and an bar at the bottom of the screen looked like it was loading the update. Now it's working fine. I guess I got all freaked out for nothing, but it would have been nice to have been warned about it before I updated. I may not be so quick to update from now on.

im having trouble with it also whenever i try to install it says "error reading setup initialization file" ive downloaded it many times and it still says it need some help here
