Finally, I got my White Frost iSkin eXo from iskin.com today. It's quite nice, and the Maclear zip case is cool too. Despite the delays, I'm glad I ordered one.
My only gripe is size of the hole for the hold switch. Has anyone tried cutting the hole a bit bigger with an x-acto knife or something? Or would this cause it to tear?

find a thin peice of metal that you can bend into a similar shape as the hole, and just press down on it.
should do the trick.

All you really need to do is stick your finger in the hole and stretch the hole so that you can get at the hold switch. It works for me!

When did you order? I ordered June 30th and I am still waiting for it. I have originally received a confirmation email for the purchase, but have NOT received any emails confirming shipping.

When did you order? I ordered June 30th and I am still waiting for it. I have originally received a confirmation email for the purchase, but have NOT received any emails confirming shipping.
I pre-ordered it on June 27th (the first day it was available I believe) and just got the shipping notification email on Thursday, July 31st. Since Monday was a holiday, I didn't get it till Tuesday morning. Two business days ain't bad though..

I actually ordered mine sometime in early July, emailed them the other day wanting to change my color to White Frost because my color was on back order. They called me today, changed my color and said they are shipping it today. Hopefully it will be here very soon.

I just spoke with a a lady at iskin.com to find out when my order might ship. I ended up switching my order of a 30GB blue mist for white frost, because even though it doesn't list it on the website as backordered they are currently out of stock of 30GB blue mist iskin exos. So mine should ship today (crosses fingers).

Shoot - that's exactly what I ordered! Would anyone have more information on this?
Vanillamike, were you given any indication about when Blue Mist might become available?

No indication was given to me about when the blue mist would become available for the 30GB. I figured not any time soon since they offered me one of the other colours. I was going to go ballistic when they told me the blue mist was backordered, especially because it is listed as available on the website, I asked her about it and she said they had the ones for the 10/15GB. The selection for 30GB iPods is crappy right now at iskin.com she said they had white frost, snow, and a pink one which I believe was bubble gum.
As far as what colours they are expecting I am not sure how Lajo sends out his colours, but in his posts he has mentioned the glow in the dark ones as being in production: colours like martian ect... so I am not sure when more blue mists will come available.
After seeing the pictures of the white frost I decided hey that's pretty cool, if I can have it sooner I will settle for that one. So they swapped it up and I got my email conformation of the shipping today yipee!!

I ordered Bubble Gum -- don't think it's a hot seller, do you? Maybe I should just mosey on over there & pick it up myself. *grr*
Guess it doesn't matter, I'm working an 18-hr shift tomorrow & doubles all next week so it's not like I'll get to enjoy my iSkin even if it does arrive. :(
BTW, I ordered on July 13th. No confirmation yet. *sigh*

lol so true I essentially have, I switched my order for the white frost so that I never have to deal with iskin.com again. The only reason I ever got them to do anything for me was because I called them (they avoided my emails). Sad too because I liked the fact that they are based out of Toronto, since I would normally get my shipments from them in two days.

I know that this is a double post, but I wanted to get it in a more active thread.
Guys here's a copy of an email that I just sent Iskin.com:
On June 25th I ordered two iskins. I understand that you've had problems with the shipments. On Tuesday, July 29 I called your office to cancel the order and spoke to a woman, don't remember her name. She told me that I would be receiving an email verifying the cancelation. It is now Wednesday August 6 and I still have not received an email verifying the cancelation of the order nor have I seen a credit go to my paypal account. What's the story now?

As far as I'm concerned they have permanently lost me as a customer, their customer service is the worst I've every seen in any company! I'm 53 years old and I've seen some bad service, but I do believe I've found a new champion!
I would just like to clarify something, when I cancelled my order from iskin.com, I ordered two iskins from the thinkdifferentstore and received the skins in two days! My experience with the thinkdifferentstore has been great, in the past Joe has bent over backwards to help me with my orders. They are what customer service should be!

I finally received my iSkin for my 15gb ipod. However, I thought the fit was a bit loose. So I checked behind the case and it says 30GB!!
Obviously they made a mistake and shipped me the bigger one. Make sure you have the right one.

To dmarcus48 and all others:
My experience with them has been identical to all of yours. Multiple phone calls and emails all without response. Luckily or unluckily, I paid with Paypal and launched an investigation into the charges. I explained my case to them and asked them to debit the charge from Iskins account.
If you really want a refund this is the only way to go. They are getting besieged with emails for refunds and cannot or will not respond. Call your credit card company and dispue the charge or contact paypals dispute resolutions department and file a complaint, it is on their website but, you have to search to find it.
File a complaint and hopefully if Paypal gets enough of these the credits will just become automatic, no need for them the investigate each claim if everyone has the same complaint.

Im sure the thinkdifferentstore is pretty happy about this...they probally tripled there overall sales in the last month with these iskins. Also most people here will NEVER do business with iskin.com again...seems like the tds earned a lot of popularity, and will continue to, as long as they keep treating customers like they are now.

w00t ordered from thinkdifferent.com. My mom is going to call to cancel. Man iSkin.com really is bad. .not even an 800 #. However, my mom told me iskin.com didn't bill her mastercard, she just got her statement a little while ago. . .

Yes, it came with the Maclear
The iSkin fits beautifully, and feels great.
Initally, it felt a little thick after putting it on the iPod, but I got used to that in about 5 Minutes. The Maclear doesn't have any openings for headphones or firewire connector, so you can't use it to store the iPod, but it works beautifully for holding the charger, cables, and earbuds.
I'm extremely happy, and if Lajo gives out those half-priced coupons, I'd probably get another!

Just an update..
After lodging a complaint with Paypal I received a refund within 48 hours from iskin. This is definitely the way to go if you want your money back.
They will not answer emails but, hit them in the wallet and they will answer right quick in a hurry!

This now officially sucks. I ordered white frost for 10/15gb from iskin.com on July 7th, but STILL haven't received a confirmation email about shipment. I'm getting furious, and will cancel tommorrow if I don't get anything by then. These clowns suck.

I sent iSkin.com an email to b*tch about the delay Aug. 5/03. I received an email from them confirming that the iskin has been shipped Aug. 7/03.
I just got an email from them today (Aug. 11/03) regarding my b*tching email. They should've responded to my b*tching email first. Their customer service s*cks d*ck big time! Can you see this iskin.com?!? Your customer service is absolutely garbage!!
I had it sent to my work, but wasn't in today to receive it. I hope it's there tomorrow when I go in.
Venting is good. :D
