I know a lot of you have the i-Volution 3g Vaja case, but I have some questions that apply to both the i-Volution and the Classic 3G model.
1) Does sand or grit get between the vinyl screen covering and the surface of your iPod?
2) Does anyone use a PDA screen protector/saran wrap etc on the iPod while it's in a Vaja case, or is that unnecessary?
3) Do the open corners of the Classic case design pose a potential for the iPod to get scratched?

just got mine today, it took 1 day less than a week for it to arrive.
so far so good, it has a very snug fit to the ipod, but doesnt make you feel like you're crushing it.
the screen protector actually protects the whole area that isnt covered by leather.
the leather looks great! no loose stitches, all the cutouts are perfect, and it smells good too!
my only gripe with the case is that it had a minor scratch on the screen protector (a piece of protective tape would have guarded against this durring shipping with the supplied belt clip)
but other than that im very satisfied.
:D

1) yes it could, its pretty open from the top and from the openings from the buttons.
2) it has its own built in screen protector.
3) dunno abou the classic one, but for the ivod: not really, the ipod is recessed so unless you're trying to get to the ipods corner, you're not going to get it scratched.

It has been a week and a day since ordering, and it has not yet arrived.
I said that I would keep you posted :)

Anyone in Canada got a Vaja case? I'm curious what it ended up costing you. From my math... for a two-tone case with belt clip after shipping ($18 USD), taxes and duty it would come out to over $180 CDN. That's an awful amount of money for a case wouldn't you say?
Thanks,
Macman.

I just got my 3g classic today, took a while but it got here. So far I am very happy with it. In a few weeks (after i get some use out of it and give it time for the leather to stretch) I'll post a short review.
to answer knivesout questions...
1) it is possible for sand and grit to get behind the screen, but shouldn't happen unless you do something stupid like bring it to the beach and bury it in sand.
2) saran wrap or anything else is unnecessary, the case protects it just fine.
3) the corners could get scratched, but like the sand very unlikely.

Trmpl....if that is the case that you purchased, that is very nice, I like the color combo :)
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay total?
Can't wait to read the review!

The case arrived yesterday. It took one week and 1 day to come, which I think is very quick since it came all the way from Argentina.
The colors are exactly as pictured on the site. I will post a review after I have a chance to try it for a few days.

Ironserif:
I payed $90.90 including shipping. I really think vaja should try and do something to lower thier prices, but hey I wanted it bad enough. It would have only been $72.90 if it werent for the #### shipping from Argentina
the options I have on my case are:
color:Vitelino Azabache/Jean
no credit card slot
no belt clip
no personalization
matching leather lining
no matching pouch
Its a good case; I like the way I ordered it. Wouldn't go back to change a thing.

http://www.vajacases.com/vaja/catalogo.nsf/htmlmedia/668_comb/$file/vazabache_jean.jpg Got a quick question for you - does the 3G Classic have exposed stitching on the inside? I read a post about what appeared to be a 2G Classic that said that exposed stitching on the inside was causing scratching when taking the Pod in and out.

I got my case a while back. I actually received my vaja case before my iPod arrived. Since the day I got my iPod it has lived in this case... I will recommend this amazing product to anyone that cares about their iPod. It is the most amazing thing I have ever touched, smelled or handled in anyway.
I know you're thinking, "Wow, what a crazy sicko..." But, anyone that owns one of these cases knows what I am talking about.
My friend and I ordered one the same day and we both agree, it is the best case made for the iPod.
Here is the one I have (I got it engraved too!): My two tone Vaja Case. (http://www.vajacases.com/vaja/catalogo.nsf/htmlmedia/ivod3g_comb/$file/cwhite_soygon.jpg)

I ordered mine on Wednesday, the 8th, without the beltclip or personal engraving. With shipping the total was something like 104$US. I don't know how much that is in Canadian. but I think it's a fair bit less than 180$. At least I hope so. I'll find out on my brothers credit card bill. ;)

I'm getting pretty excited just thinking about the arrival of my new case. I hope it gets here soon or I'm gonna go crazy.

I found out my case cost $140 Canadian with shipping and without the belt clip. I hope it's worth it.
