iPod Sock as an insulator...

Do you think it'll help to keep the ipod warm in freezing weather when it's not up against your body? My ipods don't really give off much heat so I don't know how they'd be in the sock.

I really don't think it would be enough. If you went out in the freezing cold with just a sock on...

For keeping electronic equipment warm, a photographer buddy recommends using a handwarmer wrapped in a handkerchief in the same pocket as the device. I haven't tried it.
