It was working fine till a few days ago.

So, today I opened the case up and switched PCI slots. Now, it'll charge, but the screen says "Ok to Disconnect" before I even do anything.

Any suggestions?

Belkin cards tend to be hit and miss. But once you get them working they seem to be OK.

Not much to offer but to try a different card (make sure you can get you $$ back) and see if that solves it.

I work for Gov't and we have an old saying, if it works, don't fix it.

Switch the card back to other PCI slot, they may solve the problem. It worked before!

Im guessing 99.9% you're running Windows XP?

When i ran XP, one day the iPod displayed "Do Not Disconnect" for no reason at all.

Go to device manager ( right click my computer --> properties ) and uninstall the iPod(drive) right off the computer (right click and choose uninstall). Before you reboot, uninstall all iPod plugins and musicmatch if you dont need it.

Once you reboot, plug the iPod in, and your OS, im guessing XP WILL recognize the drive - im sure of it.

I bought a new card: XP didn't detect it. Bad PCI slots?

Oh, and neither the card nor the iPod are listed under Device Manager.

I've never seen XP fail to recognize the card as being there. Have you tried all the PCI slots?
