Even after the sync/transfer of songs is successfully finished, the "Do Not Disconnect" will not turn off. It keeps flashing. I can manually eject, but it used to stop flashing on its own. How can I "fix" this? Thanks.

did you by any chance enable disk mode on your ipod. that will do what you are describing.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I did not enable Disk Mode (whatever that is) intentionally. How do I check to see if it's enabled, and if so how do I turn it off?

do not know if it different for other pods, but my 4G resets by holding middle button and menu button for 10 seconds. This gets rid of "do not disconnect" message and also turns of 'disk mode'

hope this helps

a better way to turn off disk mode is when your ipod is connected click on it on the left sidebar in iTunes. then, down at the bottom right, there should be an icon that looks like an iPod, click on it and it brings up options. just uncheck the "enable disk use" feature to turn off disk mode.

also, if you changed from autosync to manual managagement, that might be causing the do not disconnect to keep flashing. if this is the case, you can't do anything about it. if you manually manage songs, disk use is always enabled
