Hi,

I recently had to switch from mac to windows, so had to learn the ipod usage/sync etc in windows.
I got musicmatch for syncing my ipod, but i have this problem that when ever i connect my ipod thro the firewire port it automatically starts syncing!! I did disable the feature in musicmatch for not to launch itself when ipod is connected. But I can't somehow disable the ipodservice.exe file or the ipod manager file.

The software ipod manager doesn't have many options whereas to disabling autosync feature when I connect the ipod.

It really get annoying, since when I want to just use it for other purposes for file/data transfer or audible it starts to sync on just connecting I don't know with what...since music match is OFF it keeps on showing "Do Not Disconnect" warning..

I am new for ipod & windows

anyone knows how to fix this autosync feature?

thanks

There are two options I believe you need to check. One is in MMJB, on the Portable Devices window, click the Options button, on that screen you can disable auto-sync.

Then, I think there's an auto-sync option in iPod Manager as well.

I had already disabled the Auto-sync with MMJB, main issue is auto-sync disabling when you connect the ipod to the laptop, I couldn't find any option regarding disabling in the iPod Manager, or maybe I am missing something there,

any suggestions?

Isn't there an option in iPod manager to auto-launch a program when the iPod is connected?

Makes no difference, just uninstall iPod Manager. It's not needed for anything.
