custom Ipod skins? [Archive]

I've been researching this myself, but does anyone know where you can custom design an ipod skin (I mean one that goes on like a sticker) and then send it in to be applied?

I think he means decals, sort of like the kind that are made for the gameboy advance sp (http://www.decalgirl.com/browse.cfm/2,173.htm). I think they're usually made of vinyl.

I've been hunting around for a service like this too, but it seems like the two iPod vinyl skin makers are currently renovating their sites. :rolleyes:

Customs skins would be an awesome option though, so awesome I already know what I'd get. Maybe if everyone pesters the GBA skin makers enough they'll consider making normal iPod skins? I know the site above makes mini skins already.

Are you allowed to have PRINT on these as well? I saw the info on their website about FONTS and things like that...it would be very interesting if they DO allow that.

Are there other sites that do similar things as this one?

I sent an email to those people who do game advance sp's and they directed me to ipod-skins.com and said it would be opening soon. how soon that is I don't know.

If you notice, the logo on the front of the iPod on the ipodskins.com site is the same as the one on decalgirl.com. As a matter of fact, the header on ipodskins.com actually says it is a division of decalgirl.com.

Hmmm...interesting. Hopefully they will be up and running soon.

I have ordered the black carbon fiber one for my mini (will receive the mini tomorrow - Friday) and the skins on Monday. I also order an urban camo version of the mini skin - cannot wait to see them. For $15 (including shipping) - I will play - I will post review and pics once I get them on and looked at.

your gonna love them. i bought them off of ebay, great deal for what you get. probably one of the cheapest cases for the ipod and allows you to customize it to what you want.
