is there a way to access the ipod without using itune? i enable it to be hardrive. but when i open it it doesnt have music in it. is there a way to access music files?

Make sure that you are able to see hidden folders, then check iPod_Control\Music

My old laptop with all my music suffered a major incident recently, with the loss of all data, including My Music files. I still have all my music on my iPod, and I've now bought a new laptop. I can view all of the hidden files/music on iPod, but I would appreciate guidance on copying the music from iPod back to the new laptop so that iTunes will find it. Many thanks.
