Question: can 2 different "users" share the same "itunes library"

hey:

Is there a way for my wife to "log on" at the start up window and use itunes, while at the same time using my 'itunes library' of songs as her "itunes music folder location"?

I have tried to go to :Edit>Preferences>Advanced and type in my itunes folders address, but it will not populate her itunes library.

I really don't want to make duplicate libraries (disc space concerns).

any thoughts?
