Using multiple computers

I'm new to iPod. I use it for Buddhist chants and talks, not downloaded tunes. All the contents were set up by a friend on his computer and given as a gift. Now I understand everything is deleted if you install iPod on a second computer? Is there some way I can do this without having to reinstall all the content?

you need to set the ipod to manual syncing. that way the data doesn't get deleted.
