I've been using my 3g 20gb Ipod for three months without any problems, until the other day when the battery was empty.

When I connected it to the adapter I tried to start it again and I got the apple logo, but then it doesn't go to the menu but starts over again. It keeps repeating this proces.

I tried to reset it numerous times, but this results in to the same behaviour.

If anybody can help me with this problem, I would be really gratefull!

Try to run the diagnostic mode (While the Apple-Logo shows, press Backward/Forward/Select together and then let go when the logo disappears).

Maybe you should try the HDD Scan and some of the others (http://www.extremeipod.com/article2/0,1759,1639464,00.asp) just to check if something on the Hardwareside is wrong.

Thanks, You're right indeed. Last night I managed to fix the problem. I indeed put the ipod in diskmode. That way i could connect to ephpod and I only had to 'save changes' and the ipod works perfectly again. The whole story is also explained at: apple.com/support.
