Reinstall Ipod Questions

I had to return my Ipod to Best Buy as it was defective. They gave me a new one. I was wondering do I need to unintall all my current ipod software that came on the cd and reinstall from scratch? Also, I had installed the updates as well. Thanks for any help.

No, you don't need to install it. In fact, if you're not using MMJB, you don't need to install anything that's on the CD.
