I have the US retail version of the Ipod 30gb.
I've found I can charge the unit safely in the UK, but am popping over to Spain in a couple of weeks.

My question: Is it safe to plug the Ipod into the mains in Spain? And will I need any special adapters?

Sorry if this is a bit dumb, but I don't fancy blowing my Ipod up.

Many thanks.

Well if it charged safely in UK then there should be no problems using it in Spain. As far as i can remember, when i was at spain they seemed to use the same plug thingies that Germany used and my ipod (U.S. version) worked perfectly fine there.

Hi,

It is safe to charge the ipod in most countries in the world. There is an FAQ on the apple site.

I bought mine in the states and I live in Hong Kong and have travelled to Singapore, Korea, Japan and Australia so far with it. No problems.

I have bought the apple travel kit which you will need to fit the different plug adapters.

Cheers,

Paul
