I just got iPodder and am wondering what the best podcast out there are. Comedy, Politics, Tech, ANYTHING - what are you listening to?

Leo Laporte - The Tech Guy on KFI - he has a call in show that does simple tech support. Usually some good info on his shows. Miss him from the Screensavers and Call for Help days.

I dislike Leo for some reason.
I actually thought Jeff Levy was better. When I first listened to Leo he danced around answers a lot in my eyes.

Wow... You actually liked Jeff Levy?!?! In my opinion, he was a total tool. He'd steam-roll over 3/4 of his calls, giving incorrect answers to questions and quickly hang up to prevent exposing his errors. The big problem is he was hesitant to say, "I don't know." He'd just spew out some crap indirectly related to the problem and move on quickly. This tactic was a good one, as it made him look knowledgable to anyone who didn't know HE WAS WRONG. Plus, he spent 1/2 his show weaseling for kick backs, directing people to make a purchase from one of his advertisers in his name... this is in addition to the commercials.

Leo rocks on Levy. ;)

Ok so I have to be an uber shill and promote my own podcast Bibb+Yaz Take Over the World! (http://www.bibbsrevenge.com/index.php?cat=6). Our 'cast is all about having fun at everything and everyone's expense. . .even our own. Well if you can't make fun of yourself you can't make fun of anyone else I say. It is definently not work or child safe, much like Michael Jackson. Check it out and be sure to leave us a comment good or bad. Hell we even take voicemails and play them over the air. 206-309-7003 . Thanks for checking us out if you do!

I have links to all my favorites on the

Glad to see you here!

Insomnia Radio is one of my favorite podcasts, and I can't recommend it enough as a source of new music.

Radio Clash and Coverville are both brilliant collections of unwholesome things done to the music you love, and I can't live without them.

Zeilsteen's From The Attic claims to be the forgotten music of decades past, but I recognize enough of their gems to get a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

For laughs, I do keep an ear on the Pab Sungenis project. They've been called the spiritual successor to Dr. Demento, and I agree.

Now that I've finally gotten my listening up to speed, I suspect I'll begin cruising for more shows... I'll have to make a point of posting my favorites.

Thanks ethornber, mucho happy to be here....thrilled beyond belief to be nudged between Coverville and the Daily Source Code in that article :-)

I wholeheartedly agree with you about Radio Clash. He's been awesome since the beginning....

Also, for stuff on the harder side, give The Tragically Nameless Podcast (http://tnppodcast.libsyn.com) a listen. That guy singlehandedly obtained permission from Jade Tree records to use any of their bands in any podcast. Unreal....

Now that I'm nestled into this forum, it's actually tough to trim down my favorite shows...

One of my current non-music podcasts has to be The Bitterest Pill. It's basically ramblings of a stay at home dad who happens to be hilarious, without intending to be I'm sure...

And if you all want a heavy dose of quality music podcasts, check out all the shows @ AMP (http://musicpodcasting.org)

OK I'll jump in here - so far I've liked Coverville and I'm beginning to get addicted to Inside Mac Radio.

Daily Source Code is important if you want to know what's the latest in podcasting and Dawn and Drew can be really hilarious (if you don't mind cussing which I usually do, oh well)

I try to subscribe a podcast for a few times to get the feel of a show to see if it's worth listening to further so I'm still discovering (aren't we all?)

A word of warning, I have already passed my download limit (been listening to SEVERAL podcasts over the past days) so my ISP will cut off my connection, sniff!!! for the rest of the month. So PODCASTING IS ADDICTIVE! Those with feeble limits should stay away :)

Sending out an announcement for a new podcast.

Entertaining discussion of all things Mac. Two long time friends share
stories and create lively discussion centered around the theme of Apple
Macintosh computers. Casting from Los Angeles, Hank and Chris take
the geek out of the tech and provide a forum for humor, effluvia and
Mac-mindedness. "We may not have all the answers, but we definitely
have all of the fun.

Thanks, hope to hear from you,

Henry

I really enjoy Reel Reviews. They recently did The Raging Bull, Apocolypse Now, etc. Important movies that I intent to watch again. I also like Coverville, DawnandDrew, and GrapeRadio. On the Media is pretty good too. I wish there were some standup comedy routines or The Daily Show podcast. That would be cool. I would love to listen to some Rob Cordry or Stephen Colbert reports.

for the weird and obscure in music, i really wfmu.org's podcasts and archives. alot of in-studio stuff, and the gems that they dig up are priceless.

i just started listening to podcasts (d/l'd ipodder yesterday), but wfmu has been a fav of mine for a few years.
