Has anyone else here tried a skin case? I know of the iSkin eVo cases (http://www.iskin.com/mini.html) and JAVOskin cases (http://javoedge.com/simtrix/productMtce/productDetail.do?state=init&productId=333&productRef=PSKN-71111-00&category=SKIN). I've used the JAVOskin case and I love the idea. They can easlly protect the exterior of your iPod without limiting the functionality of the device.

I have owned a set of Lajo cases and my current favorite is the iSkin Evo for my 3rd gen ipod. (I don't have the motivation or the money to upgrade yet). The skin cases work very well at keeping scratches off your iPod and keeping everything looking nice. The only thing that I have noticed is that people don't understand why you would have an iPod in a case, here at University no one uses a case, I think they're crazy, they think i have an old/huge iPod...But nonetheless, I have no scratches or scuffs and a little bit of shock protection should I drop it (which i never do).

Although they are a little expensive, i think it's worth it for the piece of mind, the new AppleSox look like they may be kinda cool when they come out in November.

Read around about the cases before you buy.

Cases are a must. If I spend 300 to 400 dollars on a device, I want to keep it looking good and working. I'll stick with the JAVOskin case (http://javoedge.com/simtrix/productMtce/productDetail.do?state=init&productId=359&productRef=PSKN-71117-00&category=SKIN).

I took a hard look at all the avaliable products before buying my iSkin mini. Needeless to say I came to the conclusion the iSkin mini was the best skin out there.

Lay off him man. He's a new user and sees a gear section for his mini, and most likely unaware of a cases forum. Let the mods deal it, there's no need to point out that someone should delete a post.
