Let's face it, iPod Photo takes to long to type. I think "iPoP" is a great abbreviation. Am I crazy or it is a decent idea?

**edit** thnx 4 the sugg.

It's a terrible idea. iPod Photo takes less than two seconds to type.

No, this is just a "slang term" to shorten it, sort of like miniPod.

I think Apple should scrap the full production of the iPod Photo, it's a load of gimmicky crap.

It was perfectly intelligent, my opinion on the iPod photo is that it is crap.

My opinion is that it really sounds rediculous, but that is just me. There has to be a better way. To say iPoP it just seems wrong. If you want to abreviate iPod Photo my opinon leans towards keeping all of iPod and adding P to it, like iPodP or iPod-Ph or something like that, iPoP just doesn't sound right, but hey, that's just me. I'll probably just write it out as either iPod Photo or Photo iPod in my posts, but you abbreviate how ever you like. I don't know why I think it doesn't sound right, it just doesn't to me.

Cheers,
Stu

A little off topic, but I just saw the free (for now) service Apple have to laser engrave your iPod with your name or anything on the back... MyPod could be a cool name for that :) If anyone from Apple is listening? ;)

The "i" denotes something special, something important, something you should take notice of. The impact is most effective when the product name makes the "i" personal, as in I, Chat for the product iChat.

The 'i' in iMac orignally meant 'internet', because the iMac was sold as an out-of-the-box internet device - buy it, get it home, unpack it, connect it to the mains and a telephone point, switch it on. Hey presto, after 10 minutes you were online.

Actually it was more like 3 hours after OS9/10 installed itself... and provided you had also signed up with an ISP in the first place... but you get the picture.

Anyway, the 'i' started a whole series of branding (iBook, iMovie, iDVD, iCal, iSync, iPhoto), iPod being the one which most people are familiar with.

The "i" used to stand for Internet. The first "i" product Apple made was the iMac. The 'Internet-Mac', whose sole purpose was to get you connected to the internet in less than 10 minutes after opening the box.

However, it has since been changed to Interpersonal, as stated a few times by Jobs in public.

Censoring the term #### is silly... I'm sure iPL is not doing that.

SAYING it is almost as silly :) I'll call it my iPP or simply my Photo instead.
