Does the iTrip thinger play AM radio as well as FM?

nope it's strictly an FM transmitter, besides AM isn't that great for music anyway

yea music is terrible on AM but i listen to some talk show stuff (ie sports talk, comedy, etc.)....well...too bad but oh well :(
hmm i think your mixed up, the iTrip mearly transmits music from your iPod on a frequency you specify, the strength isnt great but for many of us its the best thing for the car.
