Rattle

Anyone with a 2.0 iPod -- do you hear a rattling sound when you gently shake your iPod? I'm trying to determine if mine has a defect or if this is normal.

I have a 15GB newPod, and I hear the same thing...a soft metallic "click" when I shake the unit or turn it over. I will be visiting my local Apple Store tonight, coincidentally, so I plan to check out the in-store units to see if they do the same thing. I'll keep you posted.

Update: I did some further research over on the Apple site, and there is a Knowledge Base article that addresses this issue. Bottom line is that it is normal and nothing to worry about.

By the way, I also checked out 2 floor samples in my local Apple Store, and they both made the same noise when shaken lightly. I am officially finished with worrying about this issue. :)
