The Sony Fontopia MDR EX71 SL's are the greatest headphones ever. Espeacially the NUDE ones. They are white with a chrome back and were made with the iPod in mind. Some other great things about these great earphones are:

*Great sound quality
*Amazing beyond belief sound isolation
*Comfort unparalled
*Inexspensive
*Awesome Behind-Neck setup
*The noise stays in your ears and does not leak
*Straight up mini jack
*Chrome COnnector
*Full range of ear pads
*And More decibals of volume!

If you are interested in buying a pair of these, audiocubes is an amazing site with great service, cheap prices and fast and cheap shipping overseas! They got me mine in 3 days!

By the way, one quetion on these. The packaging they come withis all in Japanese, a translation of these instructions would be great! Thanks in Advance.

SO go to audiocubes.com and buy these now. If you can spend over 300 Dollars on an iPod, why not a little 50 dollars for the greatest enhancement it can get!

This sounds like a commercial. And they're not the greatest headphones ever... At least I don't think so...

50 dollars for the greatest enhancement? Better can be found... :D

I personally bloody hate the cord. It's too short without the extension, and too long with it. The around the neck design causes all the weight of the wire (+the connecting part, etc) to hang from one ear which is extremly annoying.

Other than that I love these ear phones, everything else is true! ;)

I'm assuming you mean new headphones. Actually, they really aren't that new. They have been sold in Japan for quite a while, and most of the sites whose manufactures are in Japan have had this product. Considering these headphones are the same as the black ones, the information you are presenting is pretty much irrelevant. Do a search next time and post in one of the those threads that already pertain to this topic.

I can imagine some pretty thin lips at Sony on reading that post ;)

If you're this impressed by the EX71, I'm sure you'll splooge yourself with the E2c. :p

I have been using ex71s for a long time now, and I have just gone through my 4th pair!!!!!

Obviously I do like them, they are comfortable, look good and have good sound quality.
However....they break very very easily, I know this has been mentioned before. But put it this way, your pair IS going to break at some point, wether you like it or not. That is why they are just 30 squid.

And I dont know about in USA, but in UK Sony warranty services are very poor (mainly because they dont expect their products to break).
With the amount I have spent on these headphones I could have bought some Shure's so I am none too pleased.

There the best for under ??40 but the lead grates me ones side is too short a the others too long. Good sound quality a the little cable tidy is good aswell and atleast you can get them in black. Best budget choice but i prefere the shure's having used both. They are a good headphone though.

I was pleased with mine, but the cord was very poor. It was either far too long or far too short, and it was VERY weak. They were very good for bassy music.

Tip: don't buy any higher end earphones because you'll end up disliking the EX71's for their muddiness :P

That said, if you do consider upgrading, go for the E2c's like I did!
