A quick search around on this site will give you (wildly varying) opinions on various different headphones. Guess the two biggies are going to be a) ones that fit your ears (as that seems to be your main problem) b) price

Can't recommend a pair of white Sony EX71SL's highly enough - very comfortable with 3 silicon inserts of differing sizes to fit all ear canals. Block out a huge amount of ambient noise and give the iPod the much needed increase in bass over the standard pap earphones. Hard to get hold of outside of the orient, but some companies are now importing them (for the uk) and I know audiocubes stocks them in the US....

I also recommend the Panasonic RP-HJE50 (http://www.igearbox.com/product_info.php?cPath=45_26&products_id=48). These phones are comfortable, light, and powerful output, very nice earphones!!!!! For the high frequencies, they are better than the EX71's.
