Alright, I know exactly what I need to do and how I need to do the in-car install, but ive come across a problem. I need to install it in my car by thursday, and I checked how much it would cost to send it 1 day air via sik's site and its an additional $30!! Thats more than the IMP itself! So my question is.....is there any store online that sells this product and will not rape me with shipping costs. Im aware that I will have to spend extra but 30 is rediculous for what this product weighs. Or is there anywhere I could buy this in-person at a retail store? Or finally, is there another alternative to the sik imp that I could buy instead...either locally or online? thanks.

belkin autokit, i got mine from best buy. Works great, but you may want to do the "true" line out mod later.

How is the sound quality using this option? And how does it compare to the sik imp? Why would I need to upgrade later if this is a great option? ie, whats the difference between this and the sik imp that makes this not a "true" line out mod?

i havent tried either, but i doubt you will notice any difference unless your stereo system is that good. its just an aux input.

the belkin output has a amplifier on it, and a volume control. The sound output is great without doing the mod, but it just makes it better if you do the mod. You probally won't be able to tell a difference at all.

The monster chargers are nice, and the're pretty cool being black, but the biggest thing I don't like about them is that the line out is actually on the connector to the ipod, which, in my opinion, would make the setup sort of cluttered.

Monster makes good stuff, no doubt, but it's usually overpriced. But then again, so is everything else that is made for the ipod.
