It's been pointed out that we don't have a link to Media Center's download page. Well, now we do.

If you want to download it, they offer a free, fully functional 30 day trial Here (http://www.mediajukebox.com/mediacenter/).

I have been looking at other software for a while and wondering what all the fuss was about. MJB was OK. Slow, but OK. And did I really want to reformat my poor old iPod that was working OK? But this isnt progress. All I needed was someone to hold my hand. This thread was it. It has uploaded 9.2GB in 40 minutes!!!!!!!! HOW? WOW? MJB is inexcusable. THANKS!!!!:D

Just downloaded a beta version of MC9.
Great program. Does everything in one go!
Is it limited to 30 days use, like the version 9 release?

Do we need to remove the previous install (I have version 9.1.build 248, I think) or can we simply install build 250 over the top?
Thanks

Dave,

You can just install it over the top. I would, however, back your library up (option from the file menu) just in case something goes wrong.

Cheers,

Paul

You're better off uninstalling mmjb. The two programs don't work well together....If you like Media Center 9, you'll never use mmjb again anyway, and if you want to go back to mmjb, it's easy to reinstall.

Will this allow you to transfer songs to an ipod with Windows 98SE? I thought it would but my impression from the site was that it won't.

I really dislike musicmatch and I'm looking for something more like winamp but less, uh, time-consuming, (it kept crashing my machine, messing up my ipod and scrambling ripped songs till I gave in and went back to mmjb).

Just a newbie question - but what is the advantage of this vs. iTunes? Is it mostly the smartlist feature?
