I was about to invest in an FM transmittor for my car, and was noticeing quite a few products out there. Can anyone tell me which they think is the best to get (iTrip, Belkin, Monster)?
So far i have found the iTrip to be the most handy an it offers a lot of different radio stations to pick from.
Thanks so much..

You should definitely do a search of the forum.
In any case I have both the iTrip and the Monster icarplay. Of the two, I must recommend the Monster. The quality through my car speakers is 10X better imo. I live in NJ with somewhat heavy radio traffic, but the monster comes in clearer, with much less static. You are however limited to 8 low frequencies, but this is more than adequite in my case.
More pluses include: car charger and line out sound
The iTrip advantages inlcude no wires and all radio frequencies, but again, the sound quality is sub par for me. In addition, the volume in my car needs to be cranked for the iTrip, but only slightly louder than normal for the icarplay.
Hope this helps.

Thanks lance,
I like what you are saying about Monster iCarPlay, at frist I was thinking that it was pretty prices at $70 but since it is also a charger that kind of makes up for it. The only downside I can see is that since its powered from the ac outlet in your car, you are really only limited to useing it in your car. I think it would be neat to randomly be over at someones house and be just like, hey tune to XX station! But then again if the quality is really bad then its not really worth it, and I should just carry some cables around.
Anyone used the Belkin one?
So far for sound quality its looking like :
Monster, iTrip, Belkin...
I will try searching around the fourms some more but so far I havn't found to many comparisons..

Well the iTrip runs off the iPod's battery, has a ton of stations
The Belkin needs its own power source, and doesn't have as many stations to choose from
I have no experience with the Monster ;)

That does sound pretty promising! I was in a rush to get a solution last weekend, but since I ended up driving in my car ( which has a tape deck + cd player). I grabbed a tape adapter from radio shack. That was a big mistake as when it was plugged into the ipod music (although clear) only came out the right speaker. So I am guessing the jack was not fitting right. Anyways I returned it, and am still keeping my option open, can't wait to hear out the BII works out!
The iTrip sucks the iPods batteries like you wouldn't believe. If you are going to use an iTrip for any length of time you will need to buy a car charger as well.
Seeing as you have a cassette player a cassette adapter and a Sendstation (http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lineout.html) will give you a vastly superior sound than any FM transmitter.
