Im not sure if my model has the right input, I read some people are running a cable from the rear aux input down their central control panel of the car and just kind of leaving it hanging and using the ipod that way (instead of using an FM transmitter).

My model is a Kenwood MP522 - here is a link to the page:
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/product.jsp?productTypeId=20&sortBy=price&pageId=2&productId=2492

can anyone tell me if the model has the necessary input and what adaptor(s) i will need???

Sorry, im a damned noob with this stuff....

p.s. this was originally in the other forum, i didnt realize there was one just for car stereo ?s.

Someone else suggested i get this:
http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/stock01/kcas210a.asp

but that seems more for using two inputs, and since id only be using the one (the ipod) wouldnt my deck have a single input already (where the kcas210 would connect). seems like i can eliminate the middle man so to speak, but again im clueless with this stuff and wanted some insight from someone besides the guy who got stuck in Audio at Best Buy the day i go in.

you need one of these:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-BiwTvuHGWlx/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=11&g=50900&I=113CAC1AX&o=p&a=0&cc=01&avf=N&search=

Then you get a simple RCA to 3.5mm cable, and plug that into you're ipod or whatever. I have a similar thing for my CD player (it's an alpine, but the function is the same), and the input plugs into my Belkin autokit

But what can I do if I'm already using that port for my KTC-SR902 Sirius Tuner???
