Hey Everyone,
If there's already a thread on this please direct me to it, although I couldn't find one.
I'd like to burn a playlist from iTunes4 (mac) onto a cd, and move it intact (retaining the song order) to a Win ipod.
Is this possible? Specific Win software recommendations?
Thanks
Tom

A CD ripped in iTunes4 for regular music play on any other player or computer is no longer in AAC format. If it's playable on a CD player, it's rippable for a Windows iPod (or Mac iPod for that matter.) You'd treat it like you would any other CD. You can use any of the Windows programs suitable for transferring it from the dreaded MMJB on down the line, depending on your preferences.

Exactly. In effect, what you would be doing is transforming the AAC files (in ITunes) into WAV files (in the cd). Once in its WAV format, just rip the cd normally into (presumably) MP3 format. My recommendation for Win software is the much lauded (and rightfully so) EAC-Lame combo using alt-prest-standard settings. Do a list search on this software, and a LOT of threads will pop up. This is the best program IMHO in ripping WAVs into MP3's.
Of course, another option would be to directly transform the AAC's into MP3's, and load those to the winpod to avoid the cd burning step altogether. I cant give further help with this step, however, as I am a Winuser.
