I cut off the bottom part of a sock, sewed it, and I use it. Works fine.

I have been keeping my ipod in the clear plastic covering it came in. I cut out a hole at the top and bottom for the dock port and headphones. I also taped it so it would be more secure, then I scratched off the "Don't steal music" stuff on the front with a scratchy sponge. I'm using it for a scratch protector until Lajo comes out with the Exo3x and Exo3xo skins. If you want a $5 discount on lajo cases, send me a pm.

I made one outt of duct tape, but don't use it, and another 'slip case/pouch' out of suede that I kinda liked.
I'm going to try something different for my next version- it will be a pouch that loads sideways. It'll have cutouts for the 'top' controls and charging port, and screen, but the flap will wrap aound the side to the back and be fastened with... something (not sure yet)

I use an Oakley Sunglass bag/case. It works a'right. I dont use my iPod a lot yet. I used it on a couple flights, and at the airport, had my songs on shuffle. I am thinking of getting either the Vaja or the iSkin case. Dont know which yet.

I got my 4G when they came out and didn't like the apple case. So this is what I made for mine

I found out a month after I made mine about the foofpod. My case is pretty much the same, but I made it myself.
My friend also made a duct tape case for the strap of her bag

We made a bunch of these for a craft show in DC and were pretty well recieved - there were A LOT of ipod owners at the show and lot of them bought a case.

i put my ipod in a ziplock bag temporarily. i wrap in round pretty tight, then fold and tape the slack tight around the back with scotch tape. works pretty good, actually.

It's next to impossible to find a nice case for a 60GB iPod photo, so until my vaja iVod Dj case arrives I've stuck it in a booty sock with yellow toe trim... Talk about plush.

So I was feeling cheap and domestic today and decided to make my own iPod case rather than spend $30+ on a bought one. The inside is made from the elastic top portion of a grey sock. The sock had a hole in the bottom, so I cut the top off and sewed the bottom closes. The sock provides some padding to the case, and is still small enough to fit in my pocket. The outside is made from an old pair of tan cargo pants. I sewed it into a pouch that is slightly larger than the sock. Once the outside portion was complete, I sewed the sock into the tan case so it won't come out. The result is a pouch that is tight enough to keep the iPod inside, but not so tight as to make it difficult to slide it in and out (since that's the only way to access the controls).

Wow. They're really nice cases. If i tried to make anything like that it would undoubtedly come out crap. Well done, they're really inventive solutions :D
