Just wondering how fat the 4g 40 gig iskin (non lightup) case makes the iPod look. One of the main pluses for me is the iPods size. Anyways any response is appreciated.

The size is increase is negligible. The iSkin's thickness hovers around 2 or 3 mm; on both sides of the iPod, that's about half a centimeter of added thickness. That's hardly anything, considering it'll keep your iPod a bit safer.
Also, the glowing skins are identical to the solid color ones, besides the glowy-feature.

For carrying purposes, the size increase is, as James.d20 stated, is negligible.
However, if you like using your iPod with the dock, be prepared for a major hassle every time you connect it - it won't fit. Also, I just noticed today that my Monster Cable car dock cable won't fit with the Evo2 skin on it.
