Ok, recently I purchesed a 4th gen ipod and I love it so far. The main reason I bought it was so that I could mount it into my car. I purchased an AUX to RCA cable that matched my pioneer headunit and connected that to an RCA to headphones cable. Then I connected that to a Sik cable so I could connect it to my ipods dock port.
Everything seemed to be working great, but I noticed alot of times my sound seems to turn to crap. I can only hear part of the audio, kind of like if you only plug in your headphones halfway. If I fiddle with the wire it will correct it and play normally, but any slight movement will cause it to mess up again. It is becomming very frustrating as this is happening way too often.
Today on my way home from class I unplugged the SiK cable and just plugged the wire into my headphone jack. This is the only time I've tried it this way, but I didn't have one problem with the sound the whole trip.
Is my SiK cable defective or am I doing something wrong? I'd much rather use dock then the headphone jack to plug in, as you get a much better sound and it looks nicer. Does anyone have any ideas on my problem and what I can do to fix it? Thanks.
