I keep hearing about the iTrip2, but I have yet to see an iTrip in a store that has iTrip2 anywhere on it - they all just say iTrip.
Is it that the rounded ones are all iTrip2, or ??

The iTrip2 is the one that fits 3G, mini, 4G and HP iPods. The iTrip1 accomodates only 1G and 2G iPods.

Mr. Cereal...it's people like you that make the Internet a great place.
Thanks, Snowy28. I had searched, both online and in stores, and had yet to see any iTrip that included "iTrip2" naming on the device or packaging, and I had seen extensive use of "iTrip2" both in forums and in online stores. I was wondering if there were two iTrips compatible w/the 4G models, the iTrip2 being an "improved " version. It's clear now - appreciate the help. :-)

Enjoilax:
Thanks for the polite phrasing...I don't feel I need to further justfy my question, but I do feel a polite question deserves a civil response. :-)
As I said in my previous answer, I searched for information before asking my question. I looked on Griffin's site, as well as other vendors, and webboards, etc., but this issue bolluxed me. The main problem was that comments about "iTrip2" kept coming up, and it wasn't clear that was an informal name, used by individuals posting on webboards and some vendors, but not used by Griffin themselves or shown in any product packaging/labeling.
Your post seemed motivated by a desire to educate about using easy sources of info before posting questions. I run a couple of relatively simple amateur web sites (car and PDA) that have had in excess of 500,000 hits over the past few years, and also have a mailing list associated w/one of the web sites, so I am very familiar w/educating folks about the resources available to them so they can answer their own questions quickly and easily, and leverage easy to find data to answer their questions, or ask better ones.
When someone is asking for help - in my forums or others I participate in, I belive the right response is to actually help the person with their current question if you can, and remind/inform them of appropriate resources for current and future needs. Exactly what Snowy28 did...and I appreciated it very much. :-)
