formatting pbs. (started w/ Mac =>now WIN

Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. My iPod was originally formatted and loaded with music using a friend's Mac. Now I want to download my tunes to my new PC. But no matter what I try, i get the message that theiPod has to be re-formatted (and I lose my tunes).

I've tried ephpod progam. I've tried uninstalling iTunes software and accessing theiPod as a hard drive. No matter what, I get the same message - you must re-format the iPod.

Are there any workarounds??

Problem solved. Downloaded trial software from www.mediafour.com, XPlay 2. Was able to use that to download tunes from iPod to PC - then re-formatted iPod (from Mac to Windows) and reloaded tunes from PC to iPod.
