Hi,

I just purchased the AUX POD for my 2000 SS Camaro. Although the sound quality is great, I have discovered that it DOES NOT work the way it was advertised. There is an error in the programming which assigns track control to the forward and reverse buttons (NOT track control). As a result, the steering wheel controls do not work and will cause the ipod to skip. If you are interested in controling your ipod through your stock stereo controls, I encourage you to contact the following individual and verify that the aux-pod will work with your particular make/model of car.

Tell him to work on a solution! (Then hopefully he'll fix mine...)

I just this morning had auxpod installed in my 2000 Honda Accord and the steering wheel contols work perfectly. So you're right, best to check and make sure -- I never would have thought to do that, but got lucky on this one.

i am considering buying the auxpod for installation. i noticed this thread...

my question is can you still control the ipod from the ipod itself through the aux pod, or does the firwire connection only allow it to be controlled thru the head unit controls (and display the "do not disconnect" image). i dont care too much about the head unit control (so it wouldnt matter if mine didnt work), but i like that this doesnt require me to use a charge, or plug in through the headphone jack, it is just all integrated into the dock connector -- if i can still control from the ipod itself then i would probably purchase it.

Yes, of course you can still use the iPod itself for control.
