I'm getting an interface for my soon to have 40 gig ipod (need to get one of those too) and my alpine car sterio. Which case would be best for "tossing" the ipod inside my center console where the hook-up will be.

THANKS!!!!

For me it's been the Iskin. It offers a bit of shock protection, has protection for everything but the touch wheel, and does not slip off the console when cornering. No covers to remove when using controls either.

If you purchase, I recommend purchasing from someone other than Iskin - they'll take your money and ship you product, but they have been completely non-responsive to me in the customer care department.

iSkin is thick enough to absorb a good amount of shock, but still light enough to not add that much bulk to the iPod.

for inside the car i would use the ipod armor, it offers the most protection. but it sucks for everyday use since you have to open it all the time.
