I bought one after reading the bad review the Lounge gave the Griffin RoadTrip (which I had preordered, then cancelled after the review). I read someone's post in the Lounge Forum wherethey recommended the all-in-one iCarPlay, so I thought I'd give it a try. Everywhere I checked sold it for the same amount, so I bought it from Apple Store for $69 (+ free shipping) and they delivered it in 2 days!

I couldn't have asked for a better unit for the price. The setup was a breeze; the product worked as advertised; and I now rarely listen to the radio other than to my iPod through the unit. Some people have criticized that the unit only offers 8 pre-chosen frequencies, but I've found that not to be a hindrance.

And it's great that it charges your iPod while you're playing it.

Since my initial purchase, I've bought another Monster icarplay for my other vehicle, so I don't have to worry about never being without my music!

What do you use to hold the ipod itself?

I've also got one and am more or less satisfied. Design wise, it's great, and it does what it's supposed to.

There is minor static on even the best channels at times so I'd recommend you test the set channels in your area to see if they are already taken.

I don't have a separate mount at the moment, but I'm considering either a tunedock or a mount higher up.

yup there are cheaper alternatives, similar to a cell phone mount, which you can get for about 10-15$.

Only thing is, I bought TWO and both were of such poor quality that they didnt last even a matter of weeks - with these things it's important you buy quality. After all you did get an ipod right? :)
