View Full Version : Shure vs. Etymotic vs. Sensaphonics
Hey, out of these 3 in-ear headphones :
Shure E5c
Etymotic ER-4
Sensaphonics Soft 2x
Which are the best? I know alot of people will say the Sensaphonics, but when you think about it, you cannot sell them because they r molded to your ears, and your ears only. Just wondering what people think...
Thanks

For the E5c and ER4p/s,both depend on your own music tastes,I mean the preference.
You will really enjoy the muisc with the E5c and experience every single tone with the ER4p/s.So maybe ER4p/s is better when listening classic.

Well you're comparing earphones that are $200, $400, and $800. I would probably say you get what you pay for. So far, there hasn't been one negative review of the Sensas... everyone is nuts over them. If you have the money, that would almost definitely be the way to go. (I say "almost" definitely because some people who prefer the Ety sound signature prefer the Ultimate Ears UE10Pro). Why would you want to sell them?

Ety ER-4... $210 street price, last I looked.
Definitely the Sensaphonics, without a doubt. Actually I'm not sure if there are better IEMs than the Sensaphonics 2X-S. They are definitely in the same league as the UE10, only 2 headfiers got them both, one likes the Sensa much more, the other is sorta undecided.

Yes, but there is also a review in Macobserver where they preferred the UE5C to the Sensaphonics (The UE5C is $200 dollars cheaper than the UE5C, which cost about $550.00). I own the UE10PRO, and all I can say is they are mindnumbingly incredible.
I think the UE5C should be considered as well though, from the original post, especially with regard to the Sensa's.

I think what dmt meant to say was that the UE5c ($550) was $200 cheaper than the Sensas ($750). Add about $50 to both for audiologist fees.
I'm still waiting for a head-fi UE5c vs. 2X-S review. I'm hoping UE replaces lindrone's damaged UE10's with UE5c's.
They will. And I can already tell you what that review is going to say....:D

Yeah, I'm excited about that. It's like my wish came true. I actually don't know what the review is going to say. My guess is that he'll like them better than the UE10Pro but less than the Sensas. Despite his feelings toward UE as a company, I don't see him being anything less than objective when he writes actual reviews.
Yes, I agree that the UE5c's should be considered as well. I considered those myself when I was looking into IEM's.
I am also excited to hear his UE5c vs UE10PRO vs 2X-S review.
