i just bought a pioneer KEH-P2030 cassette head unit, and just realized i don't think i'll be able to connect my ipod directly to it. is this correct? and i wanted to ask to those who use cassette adapters: how is the sound quality? will i be losing a lot of quality?

I've got a belkin cassette adapter and its ok for just using in my car but I have to keep ejecting it until it connects properly with the heads inside which is a pain. It sometimes gets quiter when you've had it in there for a while as well.
I've got an el cheapo (about US$10) that stays permanently in the cassette slot and never needs ejecting. If you want better sound connect using the dock port on the bottom of the iPod using a Send Station (http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lineout.html) or Belkin car adapter. Using the audio out on the top of the iPod gives variable sound volume.
