So I've got this little screen on my pod... are there visuals for it like there are on a media program? Waves, equalizers, etc? If so, where? If not... is it possible to create one?

Linux iPod firmware can show artwork. Regarding visualization not sure, you can write enhancement request.

I think that's a bit far though, seeing how mp3 decoding is barely working realtime ;)
