why is this distorted sound?

Hi,

I wonder why some CD when ripped to mp3 have distorted (blasting) sound even at low volume, some sounds ok.
Is it caused by the bitrate or the CD origin? but the CD origin is normal.

alex76, use mp3gain and see if your mp3 volume levels are too high.
