Wrong Order!!!!!

Can someone please help with a problem i have on itunes 4.
When i try to copy a cd into itunes the running order is always wrong and the only way i've found to get around this is to put a track number in front of the text, taking up time and space on both hard drive and ipod.
Does anyone know a different way around this :confused:
Also when i import a mixed cd that has been cddb'd this also is in the wrong order

welcome to the board, it does not sound like a script related issue so you might have got a quicker answer if you had posted in the main "iTunes" forum but by the wrong order do you mean that the tracks are arranged by track name or some such ?

if so have you enabled the "track number" column ?.. either control click on one of the column headings in the library view or use edit>view options.. and use that to sort it..

also what are your current shuffle options..(second button at the bottom left of the itunes main panel)

if this is a script question can you post some details on the script you are using...
