Well, I bought a 40GB 4G Ipod the other day to 'replace' the 3G 10GB Ipod I already have because my collection 'outgrew' the capacity.
Anyway that's not what my post is about. I'd like to start by mentioning a few things I've found weird with my 4G Ipod..things that I didn't experience with my 3G one.
First is the fact that I had to add all 10GB of my music artist at a time, because trying to transfer 2335 songs to it in one go caused it to freeze and give me a 'Unable to find required file' error in ITunes.
Secondly when I go to the 'About' menu in settings. It says "Capacity 37.1 GB' 'Available: 37.1 GB', however I have about 2400 songs on it totalling just over 10GB in size. How can this be?
Not only that. Sometimes after a song has finished playing, I hear the last second of it played again after a short pause, then it goes onto the next song.
I didn't experience anything like this with my 3G Ipod. I've restored the 4G one many times and have uninstalled completely and reinstalled all the software for my ipod.
Do I have a dodgy unit here or is there something I can do to fix these problems?
On the whole it's working fine and I'm satisfied with it. Its just these niggling faults that I'd be happy to iron out.
Am I alone in this situation or what?
