Used space query

Having deleted approx 5 gb of music to clear up space (was getting close - only 937kb left) my ipod is not showing the expected increase in available space.
Can anyyone help ?

Did you just delete the play list or did you actually did the files? Because I've noticed that if you just delete the playlist it still keeps the files that were in that playlist.

Thanx a lot for the info jDog - you were dead right, once I deleted the individual songs all was well and my iPod now shows a reduction in space used.
