I just bought a new iPod3. In the store they told me that it would work on my computer (windows ME). But when I want to install the CD, an error occurs. What should I do?

Don't abandon iTunes yet. First off, get a new OS. Windows ME is probably the worst windows OS ever made, both compatibilty-wise and reliability-wise. If that is out of the question, then make sure you have all the latest patches and hotfixes from windowsupdate.microsoft.com.

I'd recommend to upgrade to SuSe or some other version of Linux. Many of them are free. You will never have any problems with viruses or other security problems you can meet using Windows. Of course, Linux supports iPod perfectly.
