Anyone bought the dock for your mini? I just bought my mini not long ago, just thinking if its good to get another dock for my mini, since I already have a dock for my gen 3.

I have a dock for mine. It's very useful so that I can put it on my desk and play my music while working or doing homework... it's an alternative to portable speakers.

I have a dock to connect my iPod mini to my stereo through the line out port on the dock. It's great, only if you're going to use it to attach the mini to a stereo. If you aren't going to use it to attach the mini to a stereo, it's pretty much a waste of money to just have it for convenience.

Yep, got mine to play through my home stereo. It has zero other practical uses, though.

Having 'dressed' my Mini with the iSkin, it's a hassle to pull it out of the case every time I want to dock it. My main requirements for the Line Out is also for portable use so I got myself a Sendstation Pocketdock http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lineout.html and made a big cut out in the bottom of the iSkin to accomodate it.

I have the dock for my wife so she doen't have to think about it much. She knows where it goes, but other than that it serves little service. I had a coupon from Apple a while back for $30 off a $300 or more purchase so the dock put the purchase over the minimum.

I use my dock to connect to my stereo. The line out gives out a better sound than going through the headphone port.

Oh, and the dock serves as a place to put your mini. Rather than put it on the desk where it can get in harm's way, it can stay safely in its dock until you need it.

I bought the dock, but have used it only once or twice, before I got my skins. Sorry I wasted money on it. I could have bought 30+ tunes instead.
I bought the dock for my mini. I basically just use it as a place to keep my mini when not in use, and for playing though my stereo (using the line out port). In my opinion the dock is worth getting, simply because it's useful and elegant. :]
