While I'm sure we are all waitinf for our iSkins, my 20Gig 4G iPod just arrived a few days ago, and I simply couldn't resist playing with it. Now, of course, there are smudges on the back of my beautiful ipod and I cant seem to get rid of them! They are no scratches, but every time I wipe off the smudges, some more appear. It's a never ending cycle! My iskin wont arrive for at least 2 weeks and I need a way to clean the back side of my ipod now!

Anyone have any helpful hints for my problem? Im sure lots of people share this dilema, because the iPod is so beautiful, I dont want to get any fingerprints or smudges on it!!

I just polished mine with my spectacle cloth (the super fine type they give you when you sign up for some ??10 replacement crap or something.) It doesn't scratch the back (I wouldn't try it on the front though), and it got rid of all the fingerprints on my ipod.

So you're saying something like 409 or any household glass cleaner will take off the smudges?
Also, what cloth would i use with the cleaner? Im thinking like a soft sponge or something similar?

ya, it takes it off of glass, i always use it and it takes them all of and leaves it REAL shiny. and u can just use a regular white towel, lol ur ipod isnt that fragile.

Is it safe to just use the cloth used to clean your eye glasses?

They seem to do the job for me, but I???m afraid that I might damage the apple symbol on the back...

Is there a chance that you might damage the symbol and words on the back if you wipe on them? They feel pretty fragile.

they are laser engraved and strong so they woint come off. and as for the eyeglass cleaner cloth, i think thats the best thing to use. if ur talking about microfiber.
