iSkin disappointment

I pre-ordered my iSkin within 24 hours of the pre-order availability. As of my posting this, my status is still 'pre-order.' Last night it was 'ready to ship.' So I guess it was ready, but now iSkin changed its mind to keep it for another week after the "ship" date.

iSkin... get your #### together. Don't make promises you can't keep. Or if you're going to be unreliable, don't make people pay top dollar for a piece of silicon.

You're not alone. I ordered mines 3 hours after it was listed on their site, and mines in queue to be shipped. I can't imagine that many people were in front of me in line. I ordered the Ghost, probably the most popular color, but then again, iskin should have forecasted that, and made the most of those. What are they thinking?

Guys, it said starts shipping August 31. If you ordered with the expectation that the hundreds of people all pre ordering the case would have it shipped on the 31st then you need to wake up.

Also, Iskin didn't make you do anything. You chose to pay top dollar for their piece of silicon. If it's so cheap you should go make your own silicon case, if it turns out anything near as good as an iskin case you get a congratz. The fact of the matter is that they are a business trying to maximise profits. Obviously people are paying the 29+ for an iskin so why wouldn't they charge it?

Countour did things perfectly. They announced it soon as they were ready to mass ship. Sept 2.

I ordered it on that day and got shipped the day after. Price wise iSkin and Showcase isn't that much different.

And yes, iSkin is simply silicon afterall.

I preorderd mine on Aug 27, and as of this morning it still says it is in que to be shipped. I sent several emails to their customer service link , but no response. So...after I get this one, I won't be ordering anything else from them. I feel certain that there are other case companies that will do a better job with customer service, and those are the ones I want to do business with...

Heh, people need to wake up =P If you bought from another company they would probably have set release date say September 30th so they have a large stock ready for shipping. In the end you'll still get your skin at the same time. The problem here is people order from iskin expecting them to have enough stock for all orders on the 31st on the day they START shipping.

Hi,

Thank you for pre-ordering with us. It sounds like you are checking the
status on a different website, perhaps you are at iSkin.com. We are
expecting to be shipping the new iSkin eVo2 cases at the beginning of
next week. They had a small delay in revising manufacturing to improve
the fit of the cases.

We will be filling pre-orders in the order they were placed and it will
take us a few days to catch up.


I just dont like that fact that they have their money and i have no product.
